Chronograph

In watchmaking, the chronograph is a complication which is added to a watch in addition to the hours, minutes and seconds, allowing measure a time interval.

Minute and hour counters (usually 30 minutes and 12 hours) total the number of revolutions of the chronograph hand. The recording over such a period of time can only be accurate if the watch meets the precision requirements of the "chronometer" label.
