Pendulum

In watchmaking, the balance wheel designates a mobile, circular part that oscillates on its axis of rotation. The balance spring that is coupled to it gives it a back-and-forth movement. Each of these back and forth movements ("ticking") is called oscillation. The oscillation is divided into two alternations.
