During the Watches and Wonders exhibition in Geneva, Tudor revealed its latest novelties for the year 2023. The Black Bay collection has received many updates, especially on the classic and GMT models. A new model has been introduced, the Black Bay 54, which is based on vintage codes.
Always with the aim of offering watches of very good quality, at a very interesting price, Tudor unveils its novelties that will satisfy a wide range of customers.
Tudor presents a new iteration in the Black Blay collection, the Black Bay 54. It takes its inspiration from the historic 7922 model of 1954, and keeps the same dimensions with its 37 mm diameter case. It has a unidirectional bezel (which turns only in one direction), which has no graduated markings, true to the model of yesteryear. The emblematic "Lollipop" hand is also present.
It is equipped with the Manufacture caliber MT5400, featuring the finishes of Tudor mechanical movements, openworked and satin-finished monobloc tungsten rotor, polished, sandblasted and laser-decorated bridges and plate.
In terms of precision, thanks to its variable inertia balance and its non-magnetic silicon balance spring, the tolerance interval of this mechanism is 6 seconds (-2 / +4).
As a diving watch, it is waterproof to 200m.
It comes on a rubber or steel bracelet, equipped with the Tudor T-fit, a quick adjustment system, easy to use, requiring no tools.

New Tudor Black Bay GMT
Tudor unveils a new version of the famous Black Bay GMT, which allows you to keep track of local time while keeping an eye on two other time zones. It is equipped with a 24-hour graduated rotating bezel in burgundy and blue colors, all powered by the MT5652 manufacture caliber.
The indication of additional time zones is possible thanks to the red GMT hand named "Snowflake", an aesthetic signature of Tudor. This hand circles the dial in 24 hours, and thanks to a bi-directional rotating bezel that is also graduated, the twelve hours of day and night can be easily distinguished.
This new model features a domed "opaline" dial with a white-gray matte electroplated finish, providing a contrast to the darker markers. The watch is water resistant to 200 meters and has a 41 mm steel case, as well as a satin-finished steel crown tube.

The opinion of the editors
Our choice is the new Tudor Black Bay 54, being a fan of vintage models, this one is closer to the designs of yesteryear. Its smaller size offers a superior class, and allows to suit more wrists. We are very much in tune with the watchmakers who seek to perpetuate their history and their previous models.
