Faced with the increase in watch thefts in 2023, Audemars Piguet has just announced the arrival of a new service innovant :la coverage free of their watches sold from 2022, for two years, against the vols and damages functional partial or total, under certain conditions.
If your Audemars Piguet watch is stolen, you can file a claim, the manufacture will examine it to determine if you meet the conditions, and will decide either the replacement the repair or the reimbursement of your watch. If your timepiece is no longer in collection, it will be replaced by an equivalent model.
In the case of a theft, a report of the complaint filed with the police must be added to the request, stipulating the serial numbers (case and movement) of the watch.
If your Audemars Piguet watch is damaged in any way that affects its proper functioning, Audemars Piguet will cover the cost of repair, or offer you a reimbursement or the replacement if the watch is out of order.
If the conditions are validated, the decision to replace, repair or reimburse rests solely with the Manufacture Audemars Piguet.
This new service will only apply to watches purchased from 2022You can purchase these watches in Audemars Piguet boutiques or from authorized dealers.
For a watch to be eligible, you must have created its space on the AP website, registered his or her watch(s) and activate the AP Coverage Service for each of them and fill in the underlying form. Audemars Piguet will review the information submitted, and will ask for a confirmation for the activation of the "AP Coverage Service".
However, this service has some cases of exclusions. It does not cover aesthetic damage, alterations by third parties, damage due to humidity, intentional damage, damage due to war, rebellion, earthquakes, nuclear accidents, theft by persons living in the same household or fraud.
In case of sale, the AP Coverage Service can still be requested, provided that the watch is still eligible, and that the new owner has activated the service.
Unlike some insurance companies, this service is valid worldwide : also during your travels!
Once again, Audemars Piguet shakes up the market norms. The company is demonstrating that it is in tune with the times by offering this coverage solution. AP supports its customers in the face of increasing theft. We are very grateful for the advances that the manufacture is making to modernize the watch market, with the means of 2023.
